Notes: | The Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ) encourages you to submit offers for specialty products in response to this invitation for seasonal products to be sold during the 2024 Summer Campaign. Your spontaneous offers must be prepared and submitted online, must include a C$240 non-refundable credit card payment for each offer and must be received by September 5. 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern (Montreal, Canada) time. (hereinafter the "closing of the invitation"). IMPORTANT This invitation has two parts: the SUMMER CAMPAIGN (subject to execution fees) or selection for passage in NEW ARRIVALS. For offers to be considered for the SUMMER CAMPAIGN, the code ROSE25 must be entered on the Product and Offer page in the Other - Remark section. Products that were part of the 2024 Summer Campaign will automatically be considered for renewal. For top-performing products offered again for 2025, a decision on whether they have been selected will be sent out in late October. In the event that the product cannot be ordered on the planned date for any reason not attributable to the SAQ, the SAQ reserves the right to cancel the selection. Any false or incorrect information included in the offer, any changes made once the product has been selected or any failure to meet the various deadlines may result in the offer being withdrawn. The SAQ is seeking approximately TWELVE (12) new products. The offers must meet the following criteria: SIX (6) seasonal rosé table wines for NEW ARRIVALS Format: 750 ml Target quantity per selected product: 100 to 200 cases
Format: 750 ml Target quantity per selected product: 500 cases or more Promotional investment for the SUMMER CAMPAIGN In order to reflect the actual cost of in-store displays, the promotional budget used to cover display and promotion costs has been increased from 10% to 17% of the supplier price per actual case and must be entered on the "Product and Offer" page, in the "Other, Note" section of the unsolicited offer. Pre-selection For the summer 2025 campaign, a pre-selection of up to 100 products will be made before the tasting, based on the following criteria: - Recognition of the product: Prizes, medals, media (20% of weighting) Order For the selected products, a purchase order will be issued in the last week of November 2024. Suppliers will have 30 days after the purchase order date to prepare the order for shipment. When the SAQ issues an order, if the product is not ready for shipment within 30 days, it may affect the product's being part of the seasonal campaign and/or the product release date in stores. Container and packaging No product in ceramic-type bottles or with overpackaging (e.g. plastic sleeve, cord) will be accepted. The container and packaging must be recyclable in Quebec. Samples Samples will be requested only for pre-selected products. The vintage of the sample must be 2023. Sending the wrong vintage, providing tank samples or not adhering to the schedule will result in the offer being automatically rejected. Price Refer to the Purchasing and Merchandising Policy, chapter 5 - Product Purchasing, section 5.2 - Price. • Access the SAQ-B2B portal Specific requirements A) Certified organically farmed products Imported products labelled as ORGANIC or with other similar wording must meet the requirements of the Canadian Organic Products Regulations in this regard. Quebec products labelled as BIOLOGIQUE/ORGANIC or with other similar wording must meet the requirements of Quebec's Conseil des appellations réservées et des termes valorisants (CARTV). The name of the Certification Body must be entered in the Sustainable Development page. Proof of certification will be required at a later date. The products should have a shelf life sufficiently long to cover their sale within a reasonable time (we estimate the required shelf life to be at least one year from the date the order is picked up). B) Fair trade-certified beverage alcohol products Producers submitting a fair-trade product must have the appropriate licence allowing them to market the product as certified by an approved fair-trade body. A fair-trade logo must appear on the product bottles. The name of the certification body (Transfair or Fairtrade) must also be entered in the Product and Offer page in the Other - Remark section of the submission form. Proof of certification will be required at a later date. C) Environmental claims Producers submitting a product with an environmental claim must comply with the standards of the Guide for Industry and Advertisers of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). When a new product is selected, the supplier must complete the Environmental Claim - SAQ Responsibility Charge form. Terms and conditions The SAQ reserves the right not to accept any of the received tenders, to cancel this invitation and reject all tenders, with no compensation to the tenderers and without the SAQ's being held liable for any costs or losses incurred by the tenderers. The SAQ considers that any omission, abstention, inaccuracy or instance of non-compliance with one or another of the provisions of this invitations will render the tender unacceptable and may result in the cancellation of the offer. No changes will be allowed once the invitation is closed. Any false or incorrect information included in the offer, any changes made after the product has been selected or failure to meet various deadlines may result in the withdrawal of the product. The SAQ is not bound to accept a tender for a product even if the product meets a specific requirement specified in this invitation. The SAQ will not assume any expenses incurred by the recipient of this invitation to prepare and submit its offer. All submitted offers, all documents and all other items received during the processing of the offer become the exclusive property of the SAQ. If, at the end of the evaluation of the offers, its product is selected, the supplier must commit to complying with the applicable conditions of the Purchasing and Merchandising Policy. In the event of any discrepancy between the (official) French version and the English version, the French version shall prevail.
