The Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ) invites you to submit specialty offers within the frame of the call for tenders for « Sparkling wines » to be sold in its network of outlets during the Summer campaign 2017. Your tenders filled online, including the non-refundable payment of CA$ 131.15, by credit card, must be submitted by Thursday, June 30, 2016, 11:59 PM, Montreal local time - Québec (Canada) AT THE LATEST. If the product cannot be ordered by the SAQ at the planned date, for any reason non ascribable to the SAQ, the SAQ reserves the right to cancel the adjudication. The products with the highest scores in the summer campaign 2016 will be notified of their extension towards the end of August 2016. The offers presented must meet the following criteria: SPARKLING ROSÉ WINE APPROXIMATELY TWO (2) sparkling rosé wines Format: 750 ml Suggested retail price: between CA$ 11.95 and CA$ 17.95 Sought countries: Spain, Hungary, Italy Minimum availability: 1,000 standard cases (9 litres) Leader Brand already commercialized at the SAQ
The SAQ will also make the final selection in order to balance the assortment in ensuring respect of its market trends and diversity and complementarity of the offer. Important note : The account manager will confirm the investment amounts with the agent before the confirmation of the product. Promotional budget For the selected products for the Summer campaign 2017, a promotional budget is required to cover displays and promotion fees of 7% of the supplier price per real case and must be registered in the section « Budget and others » of the submission form. Any additional offer of promotional budget will be considered. If the product is selected, this budget will be invoiced directly to the supplier according to the number of cases bought by the SAQ. Action plan In order to plan the liquidation of stocks for the summer campaign 2017-2018, the SAQ will add an automatic 10% discount on the product retail price for products which have not sold at least 70% of quantities ordered after the 15th week of their marketing. The supplier will be charged directly 5% of the rebate according to the bottles not sold. This amount will be automatically charged to the supplier after the 15th week of product marketing.
Products from Espace Cellier and products available in SAQ Dépôt outlets are excluded from this operation. Order For the selected products, the purchase order will be issued in the last week of November 2016. Suppliers will have 30 days to be prepared to ship the order after the release of the purchase order. When the SAQ will issue an order, if the product is not ready for shipment within 30 days, it may affect the withhold of the product in the Summer campaign and/or the date of marketing of the product in outlets. Local products from Québec with the mention ORGANIC or with any other similar mention must comply with the requirements of the Board regarding Québec reserved designations and added-value claims (CARTV). The name of the Certification Body must be registered In the «Additional Information» cell from the «Other» section under the « Commercial Results» tab. Proof of certification will be required later on. The lifetime of the products will be reasonably long in order to perform the marketing of the products in reasonable delays. Estimated product lifetime: at least one (1) year from the pick-up of the orders. B) ''Fairtrade'' certified Alcoholic products: The producer submitting his ''Fairtrade'' products must be in possession of an appropriate license allowing him to market his products under the Fairtrade certification. A ''Fairtrade'' logo must be put on the bottles of product. The name of the certification body (Transfair or Fairtrade) must be registered In the «Additional Information» cell from the «Other» section under the « Commercial Results » tab. Proof of certification will be required later on. C) Environmental Claim The supplier submitting his product with environmental claims will have to meet the standards of the Guide for Industry and Advertisers of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). If the product is selected, the supplier will have to fill out Environmental claims - SAQ Responsibility Charge form. Conditions The SAQ reserves the right to not accept any of the received tenders, as well as to cancel this present call for tenders and reject all tenders with no compensation to the submitters and without the SAQ being held liable for any costs or losses incurred by the submitters. The SAQ will consider that any omission, abstention, inaccurate or nonconforming elements with one or other of the provisions of this call for tenders will make unacceptable the tender and subsequently may cancel the offer. No changes will be allowed once the call for tenders is closed. The SAQ is not held to accept a tender of a product even if it corresponds to a specific need listed in this call for tenders. The SAQ will not assume any expense incurred by the recipient, concerning the preparation and the submission its offer All the received offers, all the documents and other items received during the treatment of the tender become the exclusive property of the SAQ. If, at the end of the evaluation of the offers, the product is selected, the supplier must commit to observe the applicable conditions of the Purchasing and Merchandising Policy.
